130414 Army Broadcast FM with LEETEUK [Transcript]

(130414 Army FM) OX quiz - after I, Leeteuk, enlisted (I led the army life comfortably as someone who is closely acquainted with SNSD / became crazy of choco pies / there are veteran soldiers that I am quite afraid of / there were times that i cried / there were times that Super Junior members made me sad)

It was supposed to be a OX quiz but he answered O for everythingㅋㅋ”


Q. There were times that the members made you sad?

A.When I got out for my first break, it was really the first time that I was able to get out after a period of 3 months so I thought that I should do this and do that with the members and go for a vacation with the members. After getting out, when I said "do this together with me" to the members, the members said "hyung, sorry, I have schedules", "hyung, sorry, I am busy"..because they said that, I was hurt and I went to watch movies alone, watched movies via vod and for the 4 nights and 5 days, I was stuck in the house.


Q. The person that you miss the most?

A. Probably because I am a soldier, my family.. I miss my family the most. I miss women the most.


Q. When do you miss the fans the most?

A. When I went in to the army for the first time of course. When I was a training soldier, the members had a performance in South America so the fans took pictures of the performances, wrote a letter and sent the pictures to me, I felt rather lonely(after reading the letters).


Teuk: During the last musical performance, I got kissed by Hyunwoo..after that, I thought about getting kissed by guys and I realized that the feeling isn't too bad


Question to Sangchu: Sangchu oppa, when Jungsoo oppa washes clothes, is it clean?

A: Firstly, Park Jungsoo will never wash clothes with his hands but he uses the washing machine well. He doesn't put in too much clothes and the amount of detergent he puts in is just nice.

Teuk: But I will still use my hands to wash D:


Teuk says that if you want to send food, please make sure that it doesn't expire in at least more than half a month! and also, because he has a kid's taste, he likes food like biscuits and it has to be sweet!


Q. After enlisting, there were times that you cried?

A. When I was receiving the training, my hips hurt so much that I went down to the medical corps. The army doctor was listening to music and it was the first time I heard music in 3 weeks. Unknowingly, I was getting quite emotional and the song at that time was Sweet Sorrow's 'no matter how I think about you'. I was telling myself "i cant cry i cant cry" and the next song that played was Shinee's "Ring Ding Dong". The moment when I heard Jonghyun-ssi's voice...it was a dance song but my tears started to flow... the army doctor asked me "why are you crying?". Because it was quite embarrassing to be crying because of a song, I told the doctor that because his words were so warm it made me cry.

Guest: “Do you change your room furniture layout in spring?”
Ryeowook: “I push my bed to one side (in winter)… and I have furniture standing on the other
side… the room is cramped (in winter) so it looks like you can only sleep in there. So for
spring, i’m thinking of changing the arrangements.”
Ryeowook: “Sungmin-ssi has sung 물들어 before during concerts.”
Sungmin: “I have!”
Ryeowook: “So during the rehearsal, I raised (a bottle of) water to disturb him. All of our members raised (a bottle of) water.”
Sungmin (message to his parents): “You always said you were happy to be able to listen to your son’s voice every night… I will no longer be able to let you listen every night.. I’m sorry about that.. and I love you.. from now on, I’ll let you listen daily through phone calls…”
Ryeowook: “Because we live in dorms, we aren’t able to talk to them often.”
Sungmin: “yes.. but recently, I called them often. I had a reason to ㅋㅋ”
Ryeowook: “You are a good son.”
Sungmin: “I am not good in singing…”
Ryeowook: “no, you are good!”
Sungmin: “Thanks.. but my techniques… aren’t as good.. so I try to express all my heart every time I sing..”
Ryeowook: “I feel that too every time i listen to you sing.. even recorded on CDs”
Ryeowook: “I chose to sing 다행이다 before with Sungmin DJ.. but he was the one so great in singing it! I got surprised”
Sungmin: “At first, my voice tone was high… like Ryeowook-ssi’s. And as time passed, my voice found it’s own color.. and became what it is now.”
Ryeowook: “The 연애학개론 acting segment was actually for Sungmin DJ to be the main… but he told the script writer, ‘Ryeowook-ee has too little segment. Please make him main sometimes too.. increase his lines too please.’ He’s very kind,”
Ryeowook: “When we went out to eat, everybody told me not to do drunk (voice) acting anymore.”
Sungmin: “Your drunk acting makes it comical”
Ryeowook: “But doesn’t it make it funny?”
Sungmin: “It’s… not the funny we need in it.. like a sitcom funny… your funny leads it to more of… gag concert.”
Sungmin: “Best part about the voice acting was ‘Ya Lee Sungmin!’ and ‘ya Kim Ryeowook!’
Ryeowook: “Ya Lee Sungmin! That’s actually our script writer noona’s tone…. Ya Lee Hyukjae! … the script writer noona has been here since Eunteuk DJs. kkkk”
Fan: “Please do voice imitation of Kiki again”
Ryeowook: “What is this?”
Sungmin: “When you weren’t here… I got so lonely, I brought Kiki.. and did like.. ‘Let’s go listen to commercials’ ‘(pretending to be Kiki) OKAY~’”
Ryeowook: “I see…”

Sungmin has guitar out~ sang short parts of songs fans requested. Sungmin: “It’s been a while since I played guitar.. so I have forgotten … a lot..
Fan: “Sungmin oppa, please give a kiss on Ryeowook DJ’s cheek”
Sungmin “…. “
Ryeowook: “okay. do it~” (puts cheek out)
Sungmin: “…. let’s move on.”
Sungmin: “Radio is not a place I can come and go as I wish…but I have talked about this with
Ryeowook… He’ll be protecting the DJ seat.. and after all my schedules have been finished, I come back … I hope it happens..”
Sungmin: “first, I am sorry to Leeteuk/Eunhyuk-ssi.. and also to Ryeowook-ssi.”
Ryeowook: “why?”
Sungmin: “we.. promised Leeteuk/Eunhyuk-ssi… to keep the spot and protect it till they are able to come back.”
Ryeowook: “After the army services..”
Sungmin: “for them to come back to these seats… No matter what I do… musicals.. and things from now on.. please continue to cheer for me.. Ryeowook will do.. well from now.. so please cheer for him… Thank you for listening to Sukira with me.. This… is the end of my DJing..”
Ryeowook: “It must feel weird for him … and it feels weird for me too.. since today is also last day for double DJ for me… we talked about everything when we were overseas… and I knew about this earlier… so we started to prepare.. I also thought about leaving too.. but he said I will do well.. and he also promised to come back if he could… I felt very touched… I want to say thank you to him.. Thank you.”
Sungmin: “I am thankful too. I feel that I have been able to do DJing well because Ryeowook-ssi was next to me.. I honestly.. am very honest.. My expressions.. and voice gives it away.. Cinetown Siwon- Super Junior is like the original root for all members, a school you cannot graduate from.

Cinetown- DJ: Did you get many chocolates? Siwon: No, I want to ㅠㅠ

Cinetown- (Siwon) Last January, I tried going to a trendy club in London but people started recognizing me and kept asking me if I was Choi Siwon from Super Junior. I replied no and said "I hear that often" but people started gathering so I headed back to the hotel.

Cinetown- DJ: Today is valentines day. Do you have a lover?
Siwon: No. I honestly... feel that my life is sad. My life is too busy right now, and it's hard to find a girl who can understand it.

Cinetown: DJ- have you ever talked with your mother about the daughter-in-law (or your future wife) she desires?
Siwon: She just replied "Someone that will make you happy... and someone that will be happy with you.. both happy together as partner in life.." and because of the religion I have, she wanted the girl to be Christian like me so we can attend church together

"The Way You Look Tonight" is a song Siwon's grandmother had recommended to him before. Siwon finds the song special.

Cinetown- DJ: Did you watch 500 days of summer? Siwon: Yes.. I disliked HER. While watching, I thought "She is so weird"

Cinetown- Siwon: If I were to do a romantic comedy acting.. I want the comedy to stand out more until the climax. It'd be funny for someone like me to act stupid... and become very cool at the climax!

Cinetown:
DJ: do you have any opposite gender friends that feel like same gender friends?
Siwon: I do. I have some in my age and sunbaenims too. Our relationships are one... where I don't want to break. One I want to keep as the same, just close friends.
DJ: They think the same too?
Siwon: I.. haven't asked before... but I'm the type to set the line. If I want to keep them as friends, I won't harbor any more affection than just friends

 Cinetown: DJ: Would you help your friend if he/she needed help? Siwon: If they ask me for help,I'd help them until the problem is solved :]!

Cinetown: DJ: what part do you think you need to improve the most in your acting?
Siwon: The basics. When we... spend time as idols standing on stage, greeting fans,... other actors spend time checking their basics and relearning it. I feel that every idols or singers... going into acting industry.. including myself.. should work hard to learn the basics well.

Cinetown-Siwon: I gave chocolates to the script writers too. I think it'll be easier for me to come on this radio again next time ㅋㅋㅋ

DJ: I heard this last song playing is by an artist you like? Siwon: yes.. I liked Howie Day for a long time now... :]

Cinetown-Siwon:/bursts out laughing/ DJ:Siwon gave me a chocolate today, Valentines...I'm sure he just meant "Hello" w/this chocolate...ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Q. How do you feel about doing the musical?
Park Jung Su I will greet the Korean Army. Salute! I am Second Rank Park Jung Su. I worked as Super Junior’s Leeteuk in society. This musical was produced to remember the sacrifices those who fought in 6.25 war have made and the pain that came from the war. I believe the musical will be an eye-opener for many younger generations
Q. Introduce the role you have
Park Jung Su My role is nicknamed ‘Miss Kim’. Born in a family full of girls, the character is very soft natured and cries easily. I believe he is very similar to my real side. Thank you. Salute.
Q. Your preparation for the musical
Park Jung Su I have worked before enlisting but it’s my first time in the musical field. Because of that, I worried a lot before choosing to do the musical. I thought, “If I have to do it anyways, let’s do it so that I can hear “As expected from Super Junior’s Leeteuk. He does well!”" and worked very hard to show good side
Q. Who works the hardest?
Park Jung Su I think those with most energy are the second ranked officers. Kim Moo Yeol second rank, Lee Hyun second rank, Jee Hyun Woo second rank, and I are full of energy
Jung Yun Hak Wait. Then are you saying others do not have energy?
Park Jung Su (Looked surprised but still replied loudly) Yes I am! (laugh)
Q. Any funny episodes?
Park Jung Su Even when I talked loudly while doing schedules in society, my throat never went out. But because of the hard musical practice, my throat ached and I snored a lot. I apologize for snoring. (Laugh) If I talk more, I dreamed of holding a beautiful woman’s hand but when I woke up, I was holding Lee Hyun second rank’s hand and I was very surprised. (Laugh)

During the interview, Jung Tae Woo chose Leeteuk as an actor who showed talent in musical acting. He praised Leeteuk’s perfect acting despite the short practice time of 1 month. He also added that Park Jungsu is very witty, quick to respond to change, good in adlibs, and is full of experience on stage. He said he himself is learning much even though he is a sunbae in acting.

Q: Childhood dream?

Yesung: (to Wook) You wanted to fly like birds?
Wook: I wanted to become a bird
Yeye: You can still do it. It's made possible with bungee jumping and sky diving

I wanted to become a basketball player for some time, then, I wanted to become a designer because I studied art for a while. And after that, I wanted to become a sports reporter, but look at me now, I ended up becoming a singer.
Sungmin: I'm not gifted with special talent, so everyone called me a "practice freek"
Yeye: as for Sungmin, he didn't miss a single day over the 5 years of training before his debut, I think it was his diligence that shaped him the way he is today.

Q: Current Interest?

Sungmin: I'm interested with only one thing these days. Shindong became interested in golf recently so it's really fun playing golf
Wook: recently, I became interested in travelling. I'd like to go backpacking through Europe

Q: What does Super Junior Mean to you?

Yesung: I always say Super Junior is like the water to me
Wook: I feel like I have more brothers and friends. Another family!
Sungmin: The place where my dream is made true. As I nurture my dreams, it is Super Junior that makes each step of my dream possible

Q: Things you do better than the members?

Wook: Cooking :D
Sungmin: wait, can you say you're good at it?
Wook: Do you know how difficult it is to prepare a meal?
Sungmin: Then tell us what you can cook
Wook: I love snack. Honeyed sweet potatoes! I'm really good at cooking honeyed sweet potatoes1
Sungmin: His honeyed sweet potatoes are really good.
Yesung: you can get movie recommendations from me. The team members and all singers in our management call me and text me each time they go abroad. They want me to make movie recommendations.

Q: Any comments for those who dream of becoming the next Super Junior?

Yesung: I hope the future singers to come and our seniors would not let go of thins career. I'd wish to work diligently and consistently with them.
Sungmin: If you're doing what you love, you can go through difficult times and be rewarded in the end. Let's have fun with it.
Wook: For everyone, nurture your dreams. Keep reminding yourself "I can do it. I can do it." Then you really can do it. If you continue to work hard and don't give up, you won't become the second or third super junior, but become the number one on your own. These will come the day when you become number one.
Sungmin: Be the only one.
