StarNews interview w/ Shindong) "My dream is to do my own talk show. I think i was able to achieve it first on radio."
"I first looked at Yoo Jae Suk, Kang Ho Dong, and Shin Dongyeop
sunbaenims and thought about who to become alike. Because of my size, i
thought that i should become like Kang Hodong hyungnim and learned a lot
during SBS 'Strong Heart'. And i went on MBC 'come to play' and really
liked the way JaeSuk hyungnim took care of the guests. After 'Strong
Heart' MC was changed to Shin Dongyeop hyung, i found that he was very
witty. I then decided not to become 'alike' someone but take their good
points and learn it. I want to learn how to be as powerful, caring, and
witty as them."
[Announcement: Super Junior World Tour SUPER SHOW 5 in Singapore]
We are happy to confirm the dates for Super Junior’s SUPER SHOW 5 in Singapore!
Catch Super Junior on 6 July (6pm) and 7 July (4pm) at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
More information and details on ticket sales will be announced at a
later date. Stay tuned to our Facebook page or follow us on twitter
@sgRITS for further updates!
One of the more unusual characteristics of K-pop is the
proliferation of spin-off groups, and super-siezed boy band Super Junior
is no exception. Their group-within-a-group Super Junior-T is worth
listening to because their focus is on adapting the Korean pop genre
known as “trot,” an older form of Korean pop music that took shape in
the early 20th century that some see as the precursor to K-pop.
The date has been set. Yesung will be enlisting next month on the 6th.
The Super Junior member had already clued his fans in at the group’s previous ‘Super Show 5‘ concert, saying, “I
was a trainee for 5 years, and I was with fans as a Super Junior member
for 8 years. I am thankful for all the love. I’d forgotten how precious
it was to sing on stage. I realized only now how much it means. While
I’m not here, please take care of the Super Junior members. Please don’t
forget about me,” while revealing that his enlistment was coming up this year.
The inevitable has now come with SM Entertainment announcing
the confirmed enlistment date through an official press release. Yesung
will be enlisting on the 6th to enter his basic military training for 4
weeks, and then will carry out the remainder of the 23 months as a
public service officer after that.
He’ll still be carrying out many of his schedules until the date
while he also spends some personal time, but he will unfortunately be
missing out on the South American ‘Super Show 5′ concerts that will be
kicking off later this month starting in Brazil, due to policies that
prevent him from traveling abroad for long periods of time before
enlistment.
The agency has also revealed that Yesung wishes to enlist quietly,
and thus, there will not be a big sending-off event that will be held
officially on the 6th.
Super Junior’s Leeteuk, who is in the army at the moment, confessed his honest thoughts towards his members.
On the upcoming episode of tvN eNEWS- Most Viewed News, Blue Tower‘s Soldier Jung (Jung Jinwook) will interview Leeteuk and Sangchu who are serving in the army right now.
Leeteuk commented that the Super Junior members were doing perfectly
fine without him. He also added that in some ways he thinks that they
don’t have to do so well. He sent his members a message saying, “You
guys are doing very well but don’t be so hard on yourselves and miss me a
bit.”
Also, to Yesung, who will be joining the army soon, he said, “That’s
too bad, Yesung. But once you get here, you will realize that it’s not
as bad and scary as you think.”
The interview also included Sangchu’s message to his fellow member
Shorry and am encouraging message from Leeteuk and Sangchu for the
prospective youth that will be in the army.
This interview will be aired on the 29th at 11:30 AM as part of tvN eNEWS- Most Viewed News.
Worrying for his fellow member awaiting army enlistment, Super Junior’s Leeteuk gave an encouraging message to Yesung.
On March 27, Leeteuk and Mighty Mouth’s Sangchoo were appointed as PR
ambassadors for military affairs Seoul Regional Military Manpower
Office.
After going through the appointment ceremony, Leeteuk said a few words for Yesung, who is scheduled to enlist in 2013.
“I want to tell Yesung this: cheer up!” said Leeteuk. “I’m sure at this
point, Yesung is worried mentally and physically, wondering if he’ll be
able to do well. I also had those thoughts, but once I got here, I
realized that anyone can do this. So Yesung, it’s really unfortunate
when I see you now, but once you enlist, you’ll start feeling sorry for
the ones who aren’t in the army yet and time will go fast.”
He hoped that Yesung will finish up all of his Super Junior activities well before coming to serve.
Comparison photos of Kangin and Baekho uploaded online under the title “Kangin-Baekho doppelgangers?”
prove just how much the two idol stars look alike. Fans noted their
similar facial features, striped shirts, and even the fact that there
are two members behind them in both photos.
Netizens agreed at their striking similarities and commented, “Does Kangin have a secret brother? They both look so alike,” “Synchronization is 100%,” and “I hope they become good friends.”
As we announced before, K-Pop idol group Super Junior will be having another world tour with “Super Show 5.” They will kick off their tour in Seoul with “Super Show 5 in Seoul” on March 23 and 24. Tickets are currently available on Gmarket.
Also, good news for South American ELFs! According to the official Super Junior Facebook page, “Super Show” will be held in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru for the first time! Here is the full current list of countries and cities.

Doing their own thing with their own style,
Super Junior KRY’s Yesung, Kyuhyun, and Ryeowook are finding success in
Japan, reaching the top of the Oricon Daily Single Charts and standing
on the stage of Tokyo’s Budokan.
Through star fashion magazine, @star1, Super Junior KRY talked unit group success, Super Junior and Leeteuk.
About their recent success in Japan, Yesung
revealed that they weren’t expecting it at all, saying “Because it was
an album and a single that we weren’t really anticipating, we were
especially touch.”
He continued, “We were putting on the K.R.Y concert and releasing an
album when we got number one on the Oricon Chart. I think it was twice
the happiness because all three things happened at once.”
Kyuhyun remained humble, saying that it was more than something the
three members did. “I believe it’s the fans who love Super Junior who
helped. It does make me happier that we as a smaller number accomplished
this.”
With the group’s leader in the army, Super Junior KRY admitted that Leeteuk is very much missed.
“I thought the absence of the leader would be small, but it felt a
lot bigger than I thought,” said Ryeowook.
“When he appeared at the
entertainment awards just for a second, we all laughed hard, but I heard
his mom cried a lot.”
Yesung and Kyuhyun echoed similar sentiments on the empty leader spot in the group.
“I believe it especially feels that way because he was a hyung who
psychologically led the members with strength. While he’s gone, the
other members will have to fill in the weak spots,” added Yesung.
Kyuhyun said, “When we’re resting in the waiting room, he used to
tell us a lot of fun stories, but now Kangin hyung does that a lot. When
we’re all together, it seems like we wouldn’t notice it since we have a
lot of members, but because all the members are so boisterous, when
there’s even one member missing, it feels quite empty.”
When they get breaks from their busy
schedules, the Super Junior KRY members said they enjoy watching movies,
playing games, eating, reading books and drinking with friends.
On possible Super Junior activities in 2013, the members replied that
there aren’t any so far, especially with members doing their own
things.
“I honestly hope this year passes by a bit more comfortably,” confessed Kyuhyun. “Even before starting Radio Star two
years ago, I haven’t been able to rest. It’s not a complaint, but I
just want to sit for a second without thinking about anything.”
The full interview and pictorial can be found in the March issue.
Meanwhile, Super Junior will be holding its Super Show 5 concert on March 23 and 24.
Last week, we asked you which male idol group maknae you thought was the most loveable, and we heard you loud and clear.
With more than 60,000 votes cast, the polls
closed this week, and our readers declared Super Junior’s sharp-tongued
maknae, Kyuhyun, the most loveable of all maknaes.
The Super Junior member garnered 38.6 percent of the votes, beating
out BFF and SM Entertainment label mate, TVXQ’s Max Changmin, who
recorded 37.8 percent in the polls, for the top spot.
It was a close race between the two idols,
but the other maknaes trailed far behind, with SHINee’s Taemin coming in
third place with 10.9 percent of votes. Popular B.A.P baby Zelo also
didn’t stand a chance against the SM heavyweights, ranking fourth in the
polls with 7.9 percent of votes.
Shinhwa’s Andy and Big Bang’s Seungri garnered 1.9 percent and 1.6
percent percent of votes, respectively, while 2PM’s Chansung and CN
Blue’s Lee Jung Shin tied for last place with 0.6 percent.
